Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari is a Spiritually-oriented Service Mission working in various parts of India through its 880 branch centers and projects with the motto: Man Making-Nation Building. Right since its inception in 1972, the Kendra has been working to identify and channelize youth potential into works of national significance with the dynamic idealism of the Patriot Saint Swami Vivekananda.

Ignited Youth Campaign is a Leadership Development Training Project for Degree and Postgraduate students. Which will be a four-phase program: -

MEMBERSHIP:  Register yourself with fee Rs.100/- and collect the material (Book- “Uttishthit Jagrat” in your preferred language, Hindi, English, Bangla & broacher). From 25^th’Aug to 26^th’Sep’2017 at your college.

Phase I EXPLORE YOURSELF:  A book based objective type written test (no negative marking). One-hour duration from 20^th’Oct to 10^th’Nov’2017 at your college. *Any changes will be informed.

Phase II TEST YOUR TALENT: Students who aggregate minimum 40% marks will be called for one-day Personality and Leadership Development Workshop for six hours duration from 15^th’Nov to 15^th’Dec’2017 on any Saturday, Sunday or any holidays. * Respective date and venue will be informed.

The workshop has been designed with an aim of overall personality and leadership development of youth. The workshop includes creativity games, patriotic songs, presentations, group discussion, Yoga-Meditation and many more activities.

Phase III KNOW YOURSELF: Students selected from one-day Workshop will be called for a five days Inspirational residential camp from 25^th’Dec to 29^th’Dec’2017 (The memorable day of Swami Vivekananda, mediated mid sea at Kanyakumari rock).

The residential camp has been designed to provide an atmosphere, where youth can explore his/her inherent potentials. It will provide an opportunity to interact with icons of Science, Sports, Defence, Management, Media etc. Group discussions, presentations, games, patriotic songs, yoga-meditation and night Assembly will be part of the camp to instil youthfulness among participants. The camp will an excellent platform for realizing inherent potentials, team building, development of public speaking skills and many more.

Phase IV IGNITE YOURSELF: Certificate will be given to participants of one-day Workshop and award will be given to selected participants of residential camp on 12^th’Jan’2018 on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda’s birthday (National Youth Day).

The Objective of this Campaign are:

• To put on the fire the Ignited Mind of Youth of our beloved nation and to let them know their capacity to express themselves.
• To reveal the national heritage and create awareness among the youth about the glorious culture of India.
• To build organizational, inter-personal and leadership skills in the younger generation.

What is the plan to conduct this Ignited Youth Campaign in Paschimbanga Prant?

This year Ignited Youth Campaign will be held in various higher educational institutions like Culcutta University including its colleges, Burdwan University, IIM-Kolkata, IIT-Kharagpur, Amity University, Heritage college, Camelia Educational Group, Presidency University, IIGNOU and many private Institute. We shall contact nearly 10000 youths for this purpose. Above 2000 students targeted to register, 10 motivational one-day workshops will be organized for the students passing the written test. Finally, there will be a five-day residential camp for 100 students selected on the basis of their performances in the workshops. This Campaigning will be going on from 26^th’ August to 12’January’2018.

How Many Zones are defined to conduct

campaigning in Paschimbanga Prant?          

Based on the Geographical locations of various Educational Institutions, 4 Zones have been defined to conduct this Campaign. Kolkata Mahanagar, Durgapur, Jhargram and Uttarbanga.
